Mike Taylor began acquiring real estate knowledge at the tender age of 8.
“I grew up flipping homes with my parents in Texas,” he said. “From there, I really just developed a natural love for everything from working on homes myself to selling, buying and helping others do the same. I love everything about it.”
What sets his personal flips apart is the character he instills in each of his properties.
“I don’t do the standard ‘flipper gray and white” walls,” he said. “I’ll work to give each room its own defining characteristic.”
In addition to his solid background on the inner workings of homes, Mike also grew up on an 80-acre farm in Galion, after his family moved to Ohio, and has a definite edge in providing buyers with a great understanding of what they’d need to look for if they’re also interested in owning a farm.
Today, Mike lives in Madison and continues flipping, helping buyers and sellers and providing moving services for incoming residents at Magnolia Terrace in Galion. Mike explained that his girlfriend’s mom runs the facility and he works with them to provide specialized care for those looking to sell their homes and move in, including a free moving service.
“It’s about making that experience as pleasant and positive for them as possible,” he said.
When he’s not working, Mike enjoys spending time with his family and three dogs and three cats, along with shooting archery, cooking and smoking meats.
He also is passionate about serving his community.
“It’s always been a calling for me, growing up in church, and continuously seeing the need to help others,” he said. “At age 15, I volunteered in downtown Mansfield to help underprivileged kids. I love the idea that you can really make a difference in someone’s future.”
