About Danielle

Danielle James has never been one to shy away from a challenge. Before becoming a real estate agent in 2019, she was sharpening her skills in corporate sales—where she learned firsthand the importance of persistence and connection. But it was an attorney friend who planted the seed that led her to take a leap of faith into real estate.

“I promised myself that if I was going to do this, I was going to give it my all. And I did!” she said. “I was knocking on doors, making calls—I remember dialing over 120 people in one day, getting five leads, and closing all five within three months.”

After a few successful years, Danielle took a step back to focus on raising her two young children. “It was never about real estate not being important anymore—I just knew I needed to be there for those early years,” she said. “Now that they’re a little more independent, I’m so excited to dive back in and refocus on my career.”

Choosing Sluss Realty for her return was an easy decision. “The training, the community involvement—it all made Sluss the right fit for me,” she said. “I love that they invest in their agents, no matter how much experience they have. And the way they engage with the community was huge for me. I’ve been to events like Kids Fest, and I love the camaraderie and trust it builds with the people we serve.”

Danielle’s approach to real estate is all about relationships. “It’s about communication, trust, and honesty,” she said. “I tell my clients, ‘My door is always open, whether it’s now or years down the road.’ It’s not just about buying or selling—it’s about being a resource and a friend.”

First-time homebuyers are where Danielle thrives. “That’s my bread and butter,” she said. “I love taking the fear out of the process and empowering my clients with knowledge so they can make the best decision for themselves. There’s something so special about seeing that moment when they find ‘the one’—when they can truly envision their future in a home.”

She also understands that selling a home can be deeply personal. “Selling is different—it’s emotional,” she said. “There’s attachment, memories, and a lot of emotions involved. I make sure my clients feel supported every step of the way, from setting expectations to handling the heavy lifting.”

With deep connections across Mansfield, Ashland, Crestview, Galion, Lexington, Greenwich, Shelby, and Willard, Danielle considers herself more than just an agent—she’s a local guide. “Whether it’s the best coffee shop or a great burger spot, those little details matter,” she said. “As I continue growing my business, I’d love to expand even more into Ashland and Galion.”

When she’s not working, Danielle is an avid reader—fantasy novels are her go-to—and enjoys her creative hobbies, from DIY projects to photography. She’s also building a cut-flower garden and diving into homesteading.

“As a family, we love our time together,” she said. “With my husband on the road a lot, we cherish the moments we can just be home, go to the zoo, or spend the day at the park. Those simple, special times mean everything.”
