About Taryn
Helping people has always been at the center of Taryn Hutton’s career. Before entering real estate, she spent years working in healthcare, including time in trauma and ICU before becoming a nursing supervisor. That background shaped the calm, steady approach she now brings to every client relationship.
“I built my career caring about people,” Taryn shared. “Real estate felt like a natural transition because I still get to help people during important moments in their lives.”
Taryn recently earned her real estate license and joined Sluss Realty alongside her husband, fellow Sluss agent Jeremy Hutton. After watching his experience with the brokerage and the support he received from the team, the decision felt like the right fit.
“I was always asking questions about what he was doing,” she said. “Finally he said, ‘Why don’t you just go get your license?’ And I thought, you know what, I really should.”
She was also drawn to the collaborative culture at Sluss Realty.
“It really feels like a place that leads with kindness,” she said. “Everyone supports each other, whether someone is doing a few deals a year or dozens. That kind of environment really stood out to me.”
While she’s excited to learn every aspect of the business, what motivates her most is helping people during positive milestones.
“In nursing you often meet people during difficult moments,” she explained. “I’m excited to help people during the happy times in life, like buying a home or moving into a place that fits their family better.”
Originally from North Central Ohio, Taryn returned to the area after spending several years in North Carolina. Today she and Jeremy live in Crawford County with their children and enjoy the strong sense of community that comes with small-town life.
“I’m really happy our kids get to grow up here,” she said. “In a smaller community families can enjoy life a little more and kids really get to have a childhood.”
Taryn stays active in the community through school activities and volunteering her time when she can.
“Jeremy gives back a lot through donations and community support, and I try to give back with my time,” she explained.
At the end of the day, Taryn believes the most important part of real estate is simple.
“I genuinely care,” she said. “I want clients to feel comfortable, supported, and confident throughout the process.”
